When we get busy, we can lose the connection with nature we require to have balance in our lives. A collective of artists share their passion through a range of nature-based activities and you can grab a coffee and or cheeky beer.

On Foot in the Emerald Link in Orbost is offering two events on the 1st and 8th of July from 11 am-4 pm. We will meet at the Orbost Exhibition Centre, where you can grab an amazing coffee from the East Gippsland Coffee Roasters across the road before the event. We’ll then start the event with mono printing with Josh Willoughby weather depending on either in the gardens or the Exhibition Center with some ambient background music from Belinda Harton. We will then share a delicious home-cooked lunch before moving outside environmental education with Elfi Shetran and moving on to some nature therapy with Sol Synergy.

Mono printing with Josh is a simple, satisfying process where participants gather native flora samples, creating images directly from nature.

Take you on a journey into the wonderful world of the forest. With a slightly sciencey take mixed with a personal love of and local experience, observing the wildlife and flora and learn about how they support each other through a myriad of fascinating structures and processes.

Nature Therapy is about developing a meaningful, long-term relationship with nature; returning to the forest and natural spaces can deepen this relationship through our senses, noticing the details and beauty we can easily overlook.

Nature Sound Resonation is an immersive experience of listening to sound harmonics while in nature. This will be threaded through the event as a beautiful way to bring awareness to the sounds of nature while incorporating music and harmonics.

After the event, we will be passing Sailor’s Grave Brewery where you’re welcome to drop in for a try a cheeky locally brewed beer around a fire pot while listening to some live music.

Inclusive event- children, adults, and families. A medium level of fitness is required due to uneven paths and some tripping hazards on the tracks. The event will go ahead unless the weather is extreme so be sure to rug up and bring a raincoat!
