Virtual Connector Refresher

“A Connector is a MATE who can keep you safe while connecting you to help.”

The role of a Connector is to connect people who are struggling to a suicide first aid resource or to other help as needed.

The Connector Refresher session is designed to give Connectors an opportunity to brush up on their connector skills and enables peer group discussion that will help when we have those tough conversations.

There are 6 sessions per week for the next 6 weeks. With limited numbers per session. Sessions are scheduled for 1.5 hours which allows for around 30 minutes of discussion if required.

During the session we will cover topics including:

• Welcome and statistical review
• What is a Connector Role
• What to look out for
• How do we Ask about Suicide
• Resources
• Opportunity to Debrief and Selfcare
• General or individual discussion as required.
• You will receive a Teams URL for the refresher 2 days before your session.
