Event description

Sunday 4 June 10-4 $105

Success with growing a vegie patch and small orchard trees is at your fingertips with this class. We’ll cover Organic, Permaculture and Biodynamic tips to ensure success with the biggest, the sweetest and the best harvests ever.

If you are new to gardening or new to Queensland, come along and learn the things that really make a difference in your QLD garden.

You’ll become confident in building great soil so your plants will thrive. You’ll enjoy your own garden, knowing what and how to plant. And of course, because we encourage beneficials with the techniques you’ll learn at this class, there are fewer bugs to munch away at your beautiful broccoli and cauliflowers. You’ll also take home some plants to start your own vegie garden. What a satisfying day you will enjoy.

Morning tea and a light lunch based upon produce from our organic garden is included in today’s class.

The class embraces the skills needed in learning to implement a healthier start, and to listen and look for the messages your garden tells you about what it needs as it grows. You’ll have a planting calendar for the cooler months and the ideal times for sowing and growing.

The days are cool and garden work is pleasant, so it’s a great time to brush away the cobwebs and be inspired to get out and get growing again. And yes, I’m sure this day will inspire you to grow great soil, prepare for planting and to get sowing super fast. You’ll find that those shop bought vegies are nothing in comparison to the flavour of vegies you’ll grow at home.
