One family session: Planting seeds for lasting change
Description
Can a single session create lasting change for families? Emerging research from the Walk-In Together (WIT) model suggests it can.
Join The Bouverie Centre for a one-hour webinar exploring the latest findings from the Medibank-funded PhD program and the growing evidence base for rapid-access single-session family therapy. Presenters will share research on clinical effectiveness, families' lived experiences, and the economic impact of the model, alongside practical insights from implementing WIT across diverse service settings.
Participants will gain an understanding of what makes the model effective, when a single session may or may not be appropriate, and how WIT's core principles can be adapted to different contexts while maintaining its impact.
Key topics include:
· The Walk-In Together model and its foundations
· Recent research on outcomes and family experiences
· Adapting the model for different service contexts
