Description

Join internationally recognised Pacific artist Michel Tuffery and Cook Islands artist Katu Teiti for an immersive three-day exploration of lino printmaking, voyaging traditions and maritime connections across the Pacific.

Led by Michel, participants will learn relief-printing techniques including composition, lino carving, mark-making, inking and hand-printing. You’ll create an individual print on Fabriano cotton paper to take home, while also contributing to a large-scale collaborative artwork using original vaka and canoe designs by Michel and Katu.

The workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced makers, with no previous printmaking experience required. All materials are provided, including a sketchbook and folio for taking your artwork home.

Three-day workshop: Thursday 4 – Saturday 6 February
8:30am–2:30pm daily
Tickets: $375 incl. GST
Ages 16+
