Ongaonga: Wet Plate Portrait Sessions

Step back in time and mark the 150th Ongaonga Jubilee with a truly unique experience — a wet plate collodion portrait created using photographic techniques from the 1850s.

Each portrait is hand-crafted on glass or metal using silver and light, just as it was done over 170 years ago. The result is a one-of-a-kind heirloom image that will last for generations.

Sessions are limited to a maximum of two people per plate. Once created, your portrait will be carefully varnished, packaged, and posted to you after the event.
