    In this 1 hour session we will be exploring the foundations of Biodynamic Breathwork (BBTRS) , a beautiful integrative breathwork modality. This session will be fully guided and perfect for beginners.

    There are 7 segments or belts in the body that have been researched and studied that hold the most amount of tension:

    Ocular- Eyes, Forehead, top of the head

    Oral- Mouth, Throat, back of the head

    Cervical-Neck, back of neck

    Thoracic-Chest, Upper back, Shoulders

    Diaphragm- Rib Cage & Diaphragm

    Abdominal- Stomach, abdominal area

    Pelvis- hips, legs, glutes

    During this standing breathwork session you will be guided to explore and release tension throughout the 7 belts in order from top to bottom.

    We will be exploring 4 main elements of BBTRS breath, sound, touch and movement and you will be taught different techniques to help release tension from these areas. 

    Each segment or belt of tension reacts and contracts according to our physical response to an event. Stress, anger, sadness, happiness, grief, rage, joy, happiness etc. The systematic approach to working from the top down is that we create a pathway for the repressed and bound energy (life force, creative energy) to rise up from the base. The less tension and restriction we have in the body the more energy can flow, the more creative energy can flow, our triggers become less, we sleep better and we feel in a state of homeostasis. 

    The breathing technique we will be using is a conscious connected breathing- in through the nose and out through the mouth. Whilst the breathing technique is a deep breathing technique, it is not a fast pace rhythm, it is slow and connected. Throughout the session you will be guided into stillness so your body has time to slow down. 

    This means if you have never tried breathwork before this practice is a PERFECT stepping stone. Also if you have tried other modalities of breathwork I would recommend trying the Biodynamic Breathwork practice. It is unique and slightly different to any other breathwork modality in the sense that it is gentle and integrated in the body. 

    The intention of this practice is to give you some tools and techniques you can use to release unwanted tension in the body. As you may have experienced, when there is tension in the body you may feel pain, tightness, tiredness or a very busy mind. This practice will leave you liberated, feeling light and a lot more calmer in the body and mind.

    El has been traversing the depths of her own heart, body and mind ever since she reached a point where she had enough, enough of the emotional outbursts, uncontrollable anger & frustration, nervous breakdowns, numbing of any hard emotions through substances, always doing something, working ridiculous hours, feeling like there was more to life than what she was experiencing. It really started when she broke her wrist and was forced to sit still and heal. During this time, she worked through childhood trauma that had been deeply repressed. Shedding layers of old patterns, belief systems, fear, anger, grief and sadness. Breathwork and other healing modalities, particularly sitting in ceremony has profoundly changed her life and most importantly her health.

    After navigating many different paths of healing, El found the medicine of breathwork which led her to finding her calling to provide spaces for people to heal through the power of the breath. El is an experienced breathwork facilitator sharing this profound modality with others to help them navigate and heal themselves so they can gain clarity on living their truest potential. El’s depth and experience with the medicine of the breath has given her the capacity that allows people to drop into the deeper places where they can meet the parts of themselves that are ready to transform and heal. She holds space in a safe, compassionate and intuitive way using a combination of 6 elements; breath, movement, touch, sound, emotions and meditation tools to aid in releasing physical blockages in the body and much more.
