Online Game Guide training for The Adaptation Game
Event description
Are you interested in extreme weather and climate change preparation?
Want to try your hand at facilitation?
City of Whittlesea is currently looking to train Game Guides, or facilitators for The Adaptation Game. This table-top, cooperative game walks players through scenarios that could happen in the municipality based on local data. It explores how residents can prepare for things like grass fires, flooding, and extreme heat.
By attending this free, online training, you'll learn:
- how the game works
- how best to guide players through stories and scenarios toward preparedness
- what Council is doing to help communities prepare for climate change and extreme weather
- how to access a community of practice for facilitation resources
For ages 18+.
