Online Arts Workshop BY DONATION - Tune into your intuition
Event description
Join me for a healthy expression of emotions through the healing arts, as we gather in community and create resilience.
You will walk away feeling more grounded, lighter and calmer.
We will be using pen or paint to tune into our intuition and express our emotions onto paper and explore the process of creative expression. This is not a technical class and is open to people of all art levels and is more focused on mark-making and self expression - no experience needed.
Art is a great form of therapy and can be an incredibly healing tool.
What you will get from this workshop:
- how to hold space for yourself
- how to sit with challenging or big emotions, such as grief, or anger
- how to use art as a form of expressing our emotions
- how to calm your inner critic
- how to listen to your intuition (gut feeling)
- learning new skills through hands-on experience
- guided projects by a passionate full-time artist
- learn extra tips on how to be creative
- a better understanding and development of your own creativity
- new skills how to create more mindfulness in your daily life
Cost:
Tickets for this workshop are by donation, which means that you pay what you can, or what you feel this workshop is worth for you. This is to allow people in financial difficulty to attend. Normally the cost for this workshop is $29 per person. One ticket allows one person entry to the online workshop.
What you will need for the workshop:
- A quiet room or corner where you will not be disturbed for one hour. This is time for YOU, that includes phone-free time.
- The Zoom App downloaded onto your device before the workshop
- Art materials to play with that you have at home. This can be as simple as pens/pencils and paper, or you can use acrylic or watercolour paints on canvas paper. If you need help with choosing materials, head to my website shop to purchase an art kit, where I prepare everything for you and post it to your door - www.melissacarey.com.au/shop

About Melissa
Melissa Carey is a full-time practising artist, who creates large intricate sculptures and art installations across Australia and internationally. She has a passion for sharing her skills and knowledge, and encouraging creativity in everyone. Melissa has found many ways to help improve mental health through combining mindfulness with her art practise. She loves gathering people together to connect through art. ONLINE: Materials are NOT included in the workshop ticket price, bring your own materials, or you can purchase an Art Kit on Melissa's wesbite for an extra cost.
All bookings for workshops must be paid in full to secure each spot before the workshops commence. Refunds are not available but can be transferred to a friend.
Workshops may be subject to cancellation. You will be offered a full refund or a credit to attend an alternative workshop of the same value.
