Description

This in-person event will focus on the need for regulation of digital platforms in New Zealand to address the known and emerging risks associated with the safety of digital platforms and

AI technologies. Hear from MP's who have taken a leadership role in policy responses, and their important contribution to this cross-party discussion.

Starting at 6pm with networking from 5:30pm on October 13, the panel will be asked how they will approach the regulating of online platforms to ensure they are safe and hold tech companies accountable for the content on their platforms. How will they and better protect New Zealanders and New Zealand's democracy, without leaving behind potential innovation and growth in the digital economy.

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask panellists questions towards the end of the panel discussion. It will be facilitated by Susie Ferguson, RNZ.

The Online Safety Coalition would like to see cross-party consensus on the regulation of digital platforms in New Zealand, so register now to be a part of this discussion.
