Event description

Join us for a fun, sustainable fashion tour to celebrate Slow Fashion September! If you’re keen to visit some new op shops, reduce your environmental footprint and look good while spending less, this is the event for you.

We’ll be travelling from Te Awamutu to Cambridge on this tour, where you will enjoy a leisurely morning browsing the op shop racks and hopefully leaving with a couple of bargains. Along the way, we’ll share our favourite op shops, sustainable fashion tips and pearls of second-hand wisdom.

Your $10 ticket includes a free coffee from a local cafe - make sure to remember your reusable mug! Registration is essential.

Please assemble at 8:45am at the bus stop beside the Te Awamutu Library (bus leaves at 9am sharp). The bus will return to Te Awamutu around 2.30pm.

Your hosts: Nic from Mainstream Green and Shelley from Waipā District Council.

Please note that this tour will involve walking around, so a comfortable pair of shoes is recommended. If you have any particular access needs, please let us know and we will do our very best to accommodate you.

We look forward to seeing you soon to celebrate slow fashion!

This event is brought to you by Waipā District Council and funded through the Government’s Waste Disposal Levy, helping council run projects that encourage reducing waste.
