Screaming horns and earthshaking rhythms, Opa! brings the unfettered sound of the Balkans to OPEN STUDIO for a final farewell party on the 17th of August!

Opa Bato! is the only ‘Trubacki Orkestar’ in Australia, performing authentic contemporary Balkan brass music from the rich traditions of Serbia, Macedonia and beyond. Since the early 1800s, this music, with its energetic rhythms, soaring melodies and wild Turkish-influenced improvisations, has accompanied major events in the cultural life of these regions. Dushan Mitrovic, a composer and performer originally from Serbia/Czech Republic, formed Opa Bato to showcase the unique fusion of European and Oriental conceptions of this music.

Limited seating is offered for all dance party events to allow for an open dance floor experience.

Open Studio offers a patio and an outdoor garden courtyard with seating.

Enjoy a variety of options, including sweet and savory crepes, cheese boards, jaffles, homemade nachos, cocktails, mocktails, and more, served until late. Vegan and Gluten Free options are available - please speak to staff if you have allergies.
