Event description

Join us for a focused morning event unpacking New Zealand’s incoming open banking regime. Hear from Hon Scott Simpson and MBIE as they outline what’s coming and how industry can prepare for the shift to a regulated open banking environment.

The summit will cover:

  • An address from Hon Scott Simpson, outlining expectations from the incoming open banking regime.

  • An address from MBIE regarding the draft open banking regulations that will sit under the Customer and Product Data Act. Followed by an introduction from the new team at MBIE that is responsible for delivery of the open banking regime, providing an opportunity to hear how the government can support the policy objectives and consumer uptake.

  • A deep dive into details of the new regime, including explanation of the various API standards, product demos, technical presentations, and considerations for using regulated open banking APIs.
