Open Christchurch 2021: Madras Street Townhouses
Event description
OPEN CHRISTCHURCH 2021: Madras Street Townhouses
Architect: Mitchell Coll, 2016-2017
Sitting on a 300m2 site, these two eminently liveable townhouses punch above their weight. From the street, their asymmetric gables announce their personality, while the corten steel cladding is designed to wear in over time. The timber interior is warm; everything has its place and nothing goes to waste, including electricity – this is a superhome. High ceilings, skylights and detailing combine for a roomy feel and capture the sense of an inner city retreat. Compact, simple and refined.
