OPEN CHRISTCHURCH 2023 Christ’s College Tour: Big School, Chapel, Hare Memorial Library and Old Boys’ Theatre
Book in for a fascinating tour of a selection of Christ’s College buildings with architectural historian and former teacher Robyn Peers. Get inside Big School, the oldest educational building still in use in Aotearoa; take in the stunning collection of stained glass windows at the Chapel, which has been altered by several architects of renown over the years; learn more about Cecil Wood’s stunning Hare Memorial Library and Sir Miles Warren’s Old Boys’ Theatre. Hear stories about their design and use, from the time of their opening until today.
