Event description
OPEN CHRISTCHURCH 2023: Engineering talk with Cass Goodwin
Architects: Victor Hean, 1929
Hear about the challenges and joys of reinstating buildings on the river, and all that this entails, from an engineering perspective. Cass Goodwin, the structural engineer for the reconstruction and restoration of the Edmonds Band Rotunda, will give you the inside story on this project in an informal talk on site. Enjoy a brief overview of the building’s history and its role in arts & culture in the city. Bring your engineering questions about the rotunda too - Cass will be happy to answer those.
