Open Christchurch 2024: Christ Church Cathedral
Architects: Sir George Gilbert Scott, 1865; Benjamin Mountfort, 1881 & 1894; Warren & Mahoney, ongoing
Enjoy a rare opportunity to head inside the cathedral, the only New Zealand building designed by the star architect Scott, a prolific exponent of the Gothic Revival style. Explore the interior with an expert and hear about the building's history and ongoing reinstatement. You must be 17 years or older to attend. PPE provided. Visitors with additional mobility needs, are in wheelchairs or who are unstable on their feet will not be able to attend.----
