OPEN CHRISTCHURCH 2024: Former Post & Telegraph/Former High St Post Office (C1)

Architect: J T Mair, 1932

Designed for the New Zealand Post and Telegraph Department during the Depression in the stripped classical style, this Government Architect design encapsulates stability and dependability. Take a hosted walk through this iconic building - a key feature of Christchurch’s cultural and physical landscapes - and enjoy exceptional views from the rooftop. Only for those who are comfortable climbing steep stairs in confined spaces. You must be 17 years or older.

Sunday 5 May:  9am, 9.30am, 10am, 10.30am, 11am, 11.30am, 12pm, 12.30pm

  • This site is only for those who are comfortable climbing steep stairs in confined spaces.
