Lochiel Park Community Garden Open Day

We will have educational activities/ talks including sowing, caring for and potting up (native) seedlings and taking cuttings, a walk around the garden identifying herbs etc by sight and smell, and info on uses, making weed tea and compost and several other information boards.

Visitors can check out our greenhouse and find out about wicking beds, soil care, bees and other beneficials, etc.

A walk around the award-winning Lochiel Park area shows these local plants growing, with mosaics and other locally-grown artworks also on display.

Coffee/tea, cakes and a BBQ lunch will be available, and there will be some sales of jams, plants and other garden-related items.
