As you can imagine, this has been a week of some consternation and uncertainty around our plans for this Open Day, given the current trends in the spread of Covid19.

We have made the decision to go ahead, but with caution and several changes.

When you get to the ecovillage, there will be volunteers at the Welcome Desk who will be happy to show you where the talk takes place / tour starts. Please have your humanitix tickets to hand on your mobile or on paper.

We ask for your support in keeping yourself and everyone else safe. Please, if you have any symptoms that could indicate corona virus, stay home. If you have been in any areas where there is an outbreak, please make a future date to visit our ecovillage. If you can let us know you are not coming, it would also be helpful.

We are planning to reduce any risk of infection in a number of ways, including:

Preparing a Covid Safety Plan for the ecovillage and sharing this with all our members
Ensuring hand sanitiser and isopropyl are readily available and venues are cleaned if used more than once
Strongly suggesting the wearing of masks, especially indoors and at congestion points – if you have one, please bring it and wear it if you are in the workshop or attending a presentation in the Visitors Centre
Setting up seating around the Visitors Centre area to help us all maintain spatial distance
Managing group sizes in both presentations and site tours
Modifying our timetable to spread out the start times of different events – this also allows visitors to manage their time at the ecovillage more efficiently and reduces congestion at the welcome desk
Allocating visitors to particular presentations or tour groups – and informing them in advance
Supporting one another and helping our extended community to have a safe and enjoyable experience!
