Description
This Month's Focus: Spot It, Sketch It, Build It - with Young Founders
Two years ago, "I have an idea but I can't build it" was a valid excuse. Not anymore.
Meet a panel of young founders and builders who went from idea to real, working product using AI tools, with zero coding background. Just a laptop and the right prompts.
They'll break down exactly how they did it:
Spotting a problem actually worth solving
Sketching what "solved" looks like
Building a working version in a matter of minutes
You'll hear the real stories about the rough idea that almost got scrapped, the moment it clicked, the stuff that nearly made them quit. Then it's your turn to ask them questions.
If you've got an idea sitting in your notes app doing nothing, this is the room to be in!
Meet your facilitator - Mo Alizadeh
A Logan-based entrepreneur who's lived this process firsthand. Mo taught himself barbering from YouTube and built his own business, Local Blendz, before going viral cutting hair at Kingston Train Station. That same instinct for spotting a gap and just starting has since taken him from a barber's chair to founding HalalHop and Scentomatic. He's here to walk you through exactly how he did it.

Lineup

Mo Alizadeh
Mo Alizadeh is a Logan-based entrepreneur, speaker, and founder of HalalHop and Scentomatic. Born in Iran to Afghan parents, Mo moved to Logan as one of six children and taught himself barbering from YouTube while still at school, building his own business, Local Blendz, from the ground up. A video of him cutting hair at Kingston Train Station went on to rack up close to a million views, launching him into the public eye as a young entrepreneur to watch. Since then, Mo has taken that same instinct - spot the gap, start messy, figure it out as you go - into building HalalHop, a platform helping the Muslim community find halal food and mosques wherever they are. He now speaks regularly on entrepreneurship, resilience, and turning an idea into something real, and is looking forward to sharing his story with the Logan community at this month's Future Tech Open House.
