Open Mic Night Fundraiser @ NEVERMIND

Join us for a fundraiser Queer Open Mic Night event at Nevermind Cafe to help gather funds to help us put on the show that is The Sunshine Coast Queer Ball!

You can strut your stuff, make the audience laugh, get them up and moving, move them with your poetry, your body or your music, surprise, create tension, confront, or challenge them on "stage".  The floor is yours to showcase your talent, whatever it may be.  Maybe you are an aspiring singer-songwriter, or you have a drag act in the making, a stand up routine, some groovy moves, a poetic ramble, a mime, or a juggling act. It does not have be perfect... in fact, it is better if it is not! You do need to purchase a ticket as a performer and register your interest in performing by going to https://www.sunshinecoastqueer.... If you perform on the night, you will be gifted one entry into our spectacular raffle!

If you are not up for getting up to perform, you can help create the polarity to energise this event by coming as an audience member.  You will be the necessary element that births the space in between the performer and the audience, where the magic happens.  Give your energy, cheer our brave performers on, and have a drink and dance with them between the sets.  Everyone is welcome!

You will be invited to go into the Sunshine Queer Collective raffle on the night to win some amazing fucking prizes! By buying a raffle ticket you will be supporting the local queer community organisation, whose sole purpose is to create more LGBTQUI+ events, spaces, programs and catch ups for our community.  We appreciate your generous spirit!
