Open Mic Night
Campbelltown Library's renowned poetry open mic night is back! Join us for a night of self expression and inclusive poetry and spoken word performances. We look forward to welcoming local artists as well as spectators from all walks of life. First time performers are welcome, this is a supportive and open space. We have award-winning spoken word artist, published prose author and poet, Sarah Jane Justice will MC the event as well as a Special Guest Feature Poet Jill Wherry.
Both performers and audience members must sign up via Humanitix under the appropriate ticket type. We regret that once sold out, we cannot fit in any extra performers so if you cannot attend please let us know so we can give someone else a chance to perform or watch.
Performers: please arrive 15 mins before the start time. Each performer has about a 5 min slot.
Performances start at 6.30pm with the Event run list below:
Start 6.30-6.45pm - MC Sarah Jane Justice and Special Guest Feature Poet will introduce our performers
7.00-7.15pm - Under 18 Poets perform
7.15-7.20/7.30pm - Intermission and refreshments - **Parents or children under 18 years are advised that after 7.30pm content may be of a mature level or include mature language.
7.30pm - 9.15pm - Adult Poets perform
9.15pm-9.30pm - Event wrap up
Adult Poets are asked to include a trigger warning before their performance if material could be triggering to others.
This is an alcohol free event. Light refreshments including coffee and tea will be provided.
