Open Nature Gardens Bunbury
Event description
This Spring, Open Nature Gardens Bunbury gives you the chance to discover a diverse collection of private nature gardens, from tiny verges to habitat gardens and rewilded oases, all open to the public for one special morning!
How it Works
1. Register your ticket here for Open Nature Gardens Bunbury
2. You will receive a map showing garden locations one week before the event. You will receive the final map on the morning of the open gardens. This is in case of any last minute changes or additions to the garden entrants. Decide on your route and ensure your pushbike is in good working order!
We have mapped out the cycle trail (which can also be enjoyed on foot or by vehicle), meandering through the suburb of South Bunbury, around the Bunbury Big Swamp. You can view a full description of each open garden location on our website here.
The central meeting location at the Bunbury Big Swamp where you will find coffee and food vans for a re-fuel is a must-stop! In this location you can meet the Friends of Big Swamp volunteers and hear about their amazing effort revegetating the area and establishing this important urban green space in the City of Bunbury.
We aim to make the Open Nature Gardens Bunbury a fully inclusive event, but unfortunately some gardens do present access difficulties for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility. Please check the individual garden descriptions for details.
A photographer will be present at this event, please let them know if you do not wish to have your photo taken.
Please contact reception@leschenaultcc.org.au if you require further details.
The Open Nature Garden Bunbury event is made possible through generous funding support from Lotterywest, building a better WA together, and Water Corporation.
