Join us for an open rehearsal as we prepare for our performances of The Class of '85. This is an opportunity to be up close to the musicians and witness the process of putting the program together. You are invited to stay on to meet the musicians once the rehearsal concludes.

The odds are slim that three musicians of global significance could be born in the same year, however in 1685, that’s exactly what happened. Domenico Scarlatti, Georg Frideric Handel and Johann Sebastian Bach were The Class of ’85, and their overwhelming influence on music cannot be overstated, enduring to this day. Featuring Handel’s rich Concerto Grosso in B flat major, Op.6 No.7, Domenico Scarlatti’s ‘Salve Regina’ with mezzo soprano Hannah Fraser, and J.S. Bach’s magnificent secular cantata ‘Non sa che sia dolore’ BWV 209 with soprano Susannah Lawergren, this program celebrates the supreme craftsmanship, versatility and imagination of these three titans of Western classical music.
