Join us at the NorthSite Art Studios for a unique opportunity to meet the artists of the Linear Horizons Printmaking Exchange and learn some of the printmaking techniques they have used as part of their intercultural printmaking residency program.
This interactive printmaking demonstration will give you a taste for the magic of printmaking. You will hear directly from the artists about their process and see the work created as part of the program.Â
No experience necessary. If you have an interest in art and culture you will enjoy this behind the scenes experience at the NorthSite Art Studio.Â
Take home a unique print created by yourself and the artists.Â
About the project
Linear Horizons: A Collaborative Printmaking exchange between Kafagway/Bagio, Philippines and Gimuy/Cairns, Australia.
This collaboration joins the 23 Sampaguita Artists Collective, Kafagway/Bagio City Philippines, with NorthSite Art Studios for an intercultural printmaking residency. Eight First Nations artists from both Regional areas engage in cultural exchange and collaborative printmaking. This event provides a unique chance for the local community to connect with these artists, celebrating cultural heritage and fostering pride, identity, and solidarity across borders.Â
The artists are working at the studio between 2nd and 14th October and this event is part of the closing celebrations of the program.
Cost of workshop covers all materials.
