Opening Ceremony for ALPINA: 60 Years of Excellence Exhibit

The Ultimate Driving Museum welcomes you to join us for the ALPINA: 60 Years of Excellence Opening Ceremony. This exhibit invites you to enjoy an elegant evening on Thursday, May 15th, 2025. 

The evening gala will officially kick off the opening of the exhibition in style. Come join us for a thrilling evening that will expand your knowledge of ALPINA's history, challenges, and victories. Matt Russell, the North America Representative for ALPINA Automobiles, and former BMW M Brand Manager, will lead an interview with ALPINA VIP guest speakers, (speakers to be announced). 

The ALPINA: 60 Years of Excellence exhibit features 25 exquisite ALPINAs. Beginning with vintage editions built in the early days when the company was working out of a backyard workshop in Kaufbeuren, Germany. During this time period, ALPINA was developing a power enhancing multi-carburetor unit for the BMW 1500. The exhibit leads you from the beginning to the modern day ALPINAs produced on the same lines as BMW automobiles. The exhibit will include motorsport, unique special editions, and the owners of these exclusive masterpieces. 

Come join us and be one of the first to experience a showcase of some of the finest ALPINA vehicles. This event is a must-see for car enthusiasts. Among the 25 cars will be the new XB7 currently in production at the BMW Plant Spartanburg, located in South Carolina across the street from The Ultimate Driving Museum.

The evening festivities will include:

• A discourse led by Matt Russell to interview ALPINA VIPs
• Heavy hors d'oeuvres, beer, and wine
• A commemorative goodie bag with gifts from the sponsors and The Ultimate Driving Museum

ITINERARY:

Thursday May 15th, 2025                              $175

The opening ceremony for ALPINA: 60 Years of Excellence exhibit will be held at The Ultimate Driving Museum, 190 Manatee Court, Greer SC, 29651. Click HERE for directions. We will be hosting the event in the Museum introducing you to the exhibit, the owners, and the sponsors. Hors d'oeuvres, beer, and wine will be available. Come see what door prizes we will be giving away!
The evening festivities will begin at 5:30pm and end at 9:30pm on Thursday night, May 15th, 2025.

Friday May 16th, 2025                                  Complimentary Admission

The Vintage Open House for ALPINA: 60 Years of Excellence (10:00am - 4:00pm) will take place Friday, May 16th, 2025. Each ticket to Thursday night's Opening Ceremony includes complimentary entrance to The Vintage Open House on Friday. There is no need to register for Friday's event, just wear your name badge from the opening gala to gain entry. Join the Foundation staff and hundreds of vintage BMW owners in the first public viewing of ALPINA: 60 Years of Excellence. Friday's presentation will feature a firsthand perspective on the XB7 by Jan Chasek, (time to be announced).

The BMW CCA Foundation / The Ultimate Driving Museum is located in Greer, SC, directly next door to the BMW Performance Center, and across the street from BMWs largest manufacturing center, BMW Plant Spartanburg.

Is there an age limit to enter the event?

Thursday is limited to 21 years or older.

What are my parking options?

Thursday & Friday at The Ultimate Driving Museum:

We have plenty of parking between the parking lot and the fields. We will have volunteers here to direct you where you can park,(Friday). If you need special access for any disabled persons in your party, please contact us for further information.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Bring your enthusiasm and love for the marque! And bring your cameras...you are welcome to take all the photographs and videos you want. 

Please, no selfie sticks or tripods/monopods inside the Museum.

Please leave large bags and backpacks outside.
