Griffith University Art Museum (GUAM) proudly presents Collecting the Future: 50 years of the Griffith University Art Collection, a major exhibition celebrating five decades of artistic excellence and cultural significance. The exhibition runs from May 29 to August 16, 2025, marking a cornerstone event in the University's 50th anniversary celebrations.
This landmark survey features over 190 works that trace the evolution of Australian artistic practice, showcasing the Collection’s national importance and cultural impact. Visitors will experience a spectacular salon hang of works from key collecting areas including pioneering early video art, political posters, contemporary Australian Indigenous art, and groundbreaking photography, painting and sculpture.
