Opening Images of Mexico at the Mexican Cultural Institute

Join us at the opening of Images of Mexico!

The Mexican Cultural Institute invites you to join us for the opening of Images of Mexico, an exhibition that offers a diverse and thoughtful look at the many stories, experiences, and realities that shape contemporary Mexico.

Images of Mexico is a student and alumni-led artistic initiative born from a desire to share the rich, varied, and sometimes contradictory intricacies of everyday life in Mexico with the community. The project seeks to foster nuanced dialogue and greater mutual understanding between the peoples of Mexico and the United States by bringing forward unique perspectives.

At the heart of the initiative are stories from diverse geographies, generations, communities, and lived experiences. By placing college students at the center of the creative process, Images of Mexico encourages young artists and storytellers to explore Mexico with curiosity and contextual awareness while creating opportunities for intercultural exchange.

The Mexican Cultural Institute is pleased to present this exhibition in Washington, D.C., continuing its mission of creating spaces where art and cultural dialogue can deepen connections between Mexico and the United States. We are proud to present this collaboration between the Mexican Cultural Institute and the Harvard University Mexican Association of Students for a second season promoting fresh new visions of cultural change.

Join us to celebrate the opening of Images of Mexico and discover the many perspectives, stories, and images that come together to portray a Mexico that is as diverse as it is complex.
