Explore the exhibitions, enjoy a live DJ set, and food and drinks inside the UQ Art Museum.
All ages welcome. 18+ ID required to consume alcohol. Anyone who appears to look under 25 years old will need to provide proof of age on entry. Food is provided free of charge and drinks are available via cash bar.
to come together as water, curated by Freja Carmichael, shares an expansive reimagining of water protection, anchored by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and lived experiences. Yuriyal Bridgeman’s SUNA (Middle Ground) brings a to-scale replica of a traditional Papua New Guinean raun haus to the UQ Art Museum lawn. Rachel O’Reilly’s new feature-length experimental film NORTHERN WATERS explores complex aftermaths of the successful 1960s Save the Reef Campaign. WE CALL YOU! Sisters! Mothers! Workers!, curated by UQ PhD candidate Benison Kilby, presents the first exhibition in Australia by the international artist and filmmaker Petra Bauer.
