Opening of Edge Effect: Student Response Exhibit
Event description
Since January, JJJJJerome Ellis’s Edge Effect has invited visitors at the Elizabeth River Project's Ryan Resilience Lab to reflect on the delicate balance between time, gratitude, and the evolving wetlands of the Elizabeth River. Now, the journey continues as Old Dominion University students bring their voices and visions to the forefront, presenting their own dynamic responses to Ellis’s profound exploration.
This student response show delves into the intersecting themes of shorelines and shifts in climate, embracing the edge as a space of creative possibility and ecological inquiry. Together, the works open a dialogue about what it means to navigate boundaries with intention and imagination—bridging the gap between the present and the future.
Arrive early for an optional tour of the Ryan Resilience Lab at 4:30pm
