Opening Party
Event description
Let's face it: We've all spent way too long stuck at home over the last two years. Brush off your pride gear and get yourself out, because we’re having a reunion - theme Pride Downunder It's time to get re-acquainted and celebrate the start of Winter Pride together - come as anything that makes you feel Pride - from flouro, to jocks, to flags, to drag; togs to frocks to thongs to jandals - Bring it on! This is the first night most guests are in town, and the perfect opportunity to catch up with old friends or make some new ones at the opening party, part of the Pride Party Series. Restrictions: R18 Theme: Pride Downunder Ticket Window: 9:00-10:00pm. Arrival times: All tickets have a "ticket window" for their use. This window is the time that a ticket will guarantee entry into an event. After the "ticket window" is closed, a revolving door policy will be used. If you have a ticket and arrive after the "ticket window" is closed, you will be prioritised according to the revolving door policy. Arrival after the "ticket window" is closed forfeits a ticket holder's guaranteed entry. "Revolving Door" is free access to any patrons (capacity allowing) in the following priority order: first, "re-entry" allows entry to anyone who has already been wrist banded as having entered the event, then Maxi patrons, followed by Mini patrons, then any ticket holders who arrived after the ticket "window" closed, followed by Long Weekender then Enabling Patrons. Winter Pride reserves the right to sell door sales if there is capacity to an event and no patrons are waiting for revolving door access at the time of the sale. Charity partnerships: Part of your ticketing fee is donated to one of Winter Pride's chosen charity partners, Qtopia. Qtopia is a social support service for LGBTQIA+ young people, their whānau, and their communities, based in Ōtautahi Christchurch and servicing the greater Te Waipounamu. There are two halves to the work that Qtopia do: one is about building opportunities for community connection through events like the weekly youth group, and the other is about using education to create lasting positive social change. This year they’re excited about providing more support to rainbow young people in rural regions throughout the South Island and your ticket purchase is helping them get that little bit closer to achieving their goals. For this ticket you also have the option of making a donation to Wakatipu Youth Trust. |
