    About Edition Five:

Surveying the breadth and depth of contemporary print-practice, Edition Five marks More Than Reproduction (MTR)’s fifth anniversary as an artist-run initiative, aligning with International Women’s Day. Demonstrating the malleability of printmaking in both focused and cross-disciplinary practices, the exhibition features recent work by artists from MTR’s monthly artist profile program. Underpinned by parallels and polarities, experimentation is at the nucleus of the exhibition, with artists navigating diverse print methodologies and outputs. In this exhibition, printmaking exists within the depths of the past and the surface of the present; where the reproducible and unique converge and co-exist.

Artists: Danielle Creenaune, Saskia Haalebos, Angela Hayson, Jacky Jacqueline, Isabella Kennedy, Emilee Robinson, Jenny Robinson, Katika Schultz, Brigitta Summers, and Maria Thaddea.
    Exhibition Dates:
    8 - 26 March 2024
    Location:
    Broadhurst Gallery, Hazelhurst Arts Centre

    About More Than Reproduction:

More Than Reproduction is a Sydney-based artist-run initiative (ARI) for emerging creatives with a passion for all things printmaking. We aim to celebrate and promote female artists, curators and creatives, with a particular focus on printmaking practices and themes of femininity, womanhood and equality. We strongly believe in equal representation and opportunity. More Than Reproduction seeks to provide a platform for women in printmaking to have their voice heard and thrive.

More Than Reproduction produces monthly artist profiles, showcasing the talents and achievements of our beautiful practitioners. We also provide news of upcoming exhibitions, opportunities and ones-to-watch. More Than Reproduction also produces group exhibitions and showcases, including an annual Edition exhibition celebrating International Women’s Day, and online exhibitions.

We would like to acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the traditional owners of the land upon which More Than Reproduction was founded and operates. We extend our respects to all First Nations people, acknowledging that sovereignty was never ceded.
