Opera in the Upper House
Event description
Opera in the Upper House returns this September after a 4-year hiatus. Don't miss your chance to experience Australia’s only opera staged in a former parliamentary chamber!
Set in Queensland’s historic Upper House, this one-night-only event blends grandeur, music, and meaning. Beneath glittering Waterford chandeliers and 22-carat gold leaf ceilings, experience a thrilling new production by Viva La Musica, featuring rising stars of Australian opera and the vibrant Viva La Musica Voices Program.
Presented by the Queensland Former Parliamentary Members’ Association, this exclusive evening supports the Brisbane Street Outreach Services of Drug ARM, and celebrates timeless themes of romance, betrayal, and politics brought to life in a room where politics once ruled.
