Operation Flinders Resilience Lunch with Grant Stevens
Event description
The Operation Flinders 8-day adventure therapy program is designed to transform the lives of young people through encouraging CONNECTION, PURPOSE AND RESILIENCE. The Foundation is supported by over 300 volunteers who are committed to transforming the lives of young people. Amongst those volunteers is South Australian Police Commissioner Grant Stevens; a committed Board Member of the Foundation.
In November 2023, Grant and Emma Stevens lost their 18 year old son, Charlie, under tragic circumstances. Out of tragedy, Grant and Emma asked the public to donate to Operation Flinders in lieu of flowers. The overwhelming support and generosity from the public, locally, nationally, and at government level, resulted in over $200,000 being donated in the name of Charlie Stevens.
Grant will share the reasons why Operation Flinders is so close to his and Emma's heart, and the importance of resilience and impacting young lives.
Proudly bought to you by Operation Flinders, the luncheon will be hosted by Tom Rehn from Channel 9.
