Travel instructions

Tram: The closest tram stop is at the corner of Sturt St/Southbank Boulevard #17; which is serviced by Route 1 (1 East Coburg - South Melbourne Beach), it is an accessible tram stop and 1 minute walk to Joan Hammond Hall. The closest tram stop serviced by the St Kilda Road corridor tram routes (Routes 3, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72) is Arts Centre/St Kilda Road #14, it is also an accessible tram stop and is a 5 minute walk to Joan Hammond Hall.

Entry instructions

The building has both a revolving and accessible doors, a member of the Orchestra Victoria team will be stationed out the front to greet and assist you.

Toilet location

There is an accessible, all genders bathroom on Level Three hear the Hanson Dyer Hall Foyer, there is also an accessible all genders bathroom on the Ground Floor accessible from the main entrance.

Accessible parking

There are two accessible car parking spots opposite the lifts on both levels 2 & 3 of The Australian Ballet Car Park (2 Kavanagh Street, Southbank).

Wheelchair Access and Seating

Hanson Dyer Hall is accessible to wheelchair users and wheelchair accessible seats are installed in the venue. Please note your requirements at the point of booking and we will ensure that you are allocated a seat, and that front of house staff will anticipate your arrival.
