Event description

Join Made of Many and Melbourne Coffee Merchants for a special presentation, sharing stories and insights from a recent trip to Ethiopia and Kenya.

Have you ever wondered what actually happens on a trip to origin?

After a recent sourcing trip to Ethiopia and Kenya, team MCM are bringing their stories and learnings to share with the Sydney coffee community! We'll walk through the steps MCM takes to prepare for an origin trip, the considerations that go into our purchasing strategy and the goals we outline before we travel.

Through stories, photos and a special early tasting of MCM's upcoming Ethiopian and Kenyan offerings (cupped and selected during the trip!), Aislinn will share insights into the 2022/2023 season in Ethiopia and Kenya - including updates on quality, availability and pricing. Learn more about MCM's supply networks in each origin, and meet the talented and dedicated individuals who make up the producing communities whose coffees we love so much.

Come along for a fun night of of tasting and conversation! Tickets are by donation (including service fee). All proceeds will go to support the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre

About Melbourne Coffee Merchants

Since 2008, our goal has been to be the preferred green bean supplier and sourcing partner for any roaster in Australia looking for high-quality and ethically sourced coffees. We believe everyone in the coffee chain can and should prosper, and that a focus on transparency and a commitment to paying premiums back to the producer is the best way to ensure a sustainable and viable future for coffee farming.

By investing in long-term, meaningful relationships at origin, and remaining focused on providing customers with an exceptional range of high quality, traceable coffees, we hope to continue to ignite positive change in the coffee industry, and push the potential of what coffee is and can be.
