A hands on educational session for health professionalsÂ
Outcomes for this workshop includes:
- Know the significant anatomy and radiological findings relevant to most common orthopaedic injuries in ED.
- Know the principles that guide investigation, management and referral for common fractures, dislocations and soft tissue injuries.
- Have an awareness of significant paediatric injury patterns and how to approach these.
- Develop confidence with immobilisation and plastering techniques relevant to the ED setting.
This program is suitable for ALL staff who work in the Emergency Care Setting. Particularly Medical Staff, RMO's/JMO's, EMC/EMD/EMAD, Associateships in Emergency Medicine - Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, GPs, Paramedics, and Medical Students.
A light lunch will be provided.
Places are limited and priority will be given to individuals who provide Emergency Care in the Limestone Coast Local Health Network.
