OSA's 25th Anniversary and Aria Final
Event description
Please join our Founding Directors Graeme Wall OAM and Margot Cory-Wall OAM in celebrating Opera Scholars Australia's incredible 25 years! The Hotel Windsor Ballroom provides the perfect setting for a sumptuous afternoon's entertainment featuring OSA's impressive past and very bright future.
High Tea guests arrive at 1.30pm and will be treated to a glass of sparkling wine and a savoury first course. We will collectively look back at OSA's triumphs with reports from alumni and a special performance of Song to the Moon by the indefatigable Helena Dix (which she performed at Opera in the Alps as Scholar of the Year in 2002). Dessert will be served at 2.30pm.
At 3.00pm our Aria Award guests will be seated for the Final. Six current Scholars will showcase their finest arias - battling to take out the ultimate Aria prize. Expect to hear the finest music from Mozart, Rossini, Handel and Donizetti. Australian operatic stalwart Stuart Maunder will adjudicate. It is an event not to be missed for any opera lover and OSA supporter!
