Event description

EXPLORING THEMES, EMOTIONS, THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS THROUGH INTUITIVE ART AND CEREMONY

We will gather in a sacred circle, to honour and creatively explore the turning of the seasons; to witness the dance between our external world and internal landscapes.

Ostara (Spring Equinox) is a special time of the year, when the seasons come into balance of equal day and night. The Earth starts to warm, becoming more fertile, giving life to our dreams. Through art, we will be exploring themes of release, manifestation, balance and harmony.

Date: Sunday 25th September

Duration: 3 hrs (in-person circle)

Time: 4pm - 7pm

Venue: HUM Studio - Dee Why

Workshop structure: Opening with a sharing circle, we will set our intent for the evening and connect whole-heartedly as a healing community. We will then move into a guided meditation, followed by an art therapy process and soul crafting activity. To bring our journey to a close, we’ll come back into circle and share our experiences.

Who can participate? Adults 18+ (No previous circle or art experience is required for this workshop).

Limited to 10 participants to keep the group setting intimate  - allowing for deep connections to grow within this heart-centred community.

Art Therapy Circle offerings for 2022 @HUM Studio
This year, art therapy circles will be held on the eight sabbats, for participants to explore how ancient wisdom, art and creativity can best support them on their healing journey. The sabbats are seasonal festivals that mark the main solar points of the year (solstices and equinoxes) and the midpoints between them. They originated in the Northern Hemisphere and come from ancient Pagan traditions. Here in the Southern Hemisphere the seasons are flipped so the dates I have chosen, align with where we are geographically situated on Garigal land.

During our sessions together we will be:

  • sharing from the heart
  • exploring themes, emotions, thoughts and feelings through intuitive art and movement
  • getting acquainted with the Medicine Wheel
  • connecting with others and creating a healing community
  • tapping into the ancient rhythms and wisdom of nature to help guide us on our journey
  • practicing rituals, ceremonies and celebrating the ebbs and flows of life

Upcoming Sabbats/Circle Dates:

  • Beltane - Sun, Nov 06, 2022     | 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Litha - TBA (Mid-late Dec)

Hope you can join us throughout the year on this creative and soulful journey through the seasons!
