Ostara/ Spring Equinox Celebration

Z. Budapest, Dianic priestess, says of Ostara:
"The scent of blooming flowers and the warming sun herald the time in nature when all is opened up for renewal; Flora comes of age, fauna abound, and all is ready for love…processions…dancing, feasting. Exchanging gifts, making dates, renewing love vows, kissing friends and lovers, all this is in order. It is very good luck to share love with more than one person, even if only in token."

The sudden bursting out of a tree full of blossom?

The birds about and calling as they enter their nesting time?

The new flowers, like daffodils, appearing from their winter sleep?

The egg is a symbol of all this new life and we will use it to encapsulate our own new hopes.

Wear your light-hearted clothing, colours of spring, to celebrate Mother Earth showing us the energy of Her fertility.

Have a candle

Coloured pencils, paint or similar

Bring eggs to decorate or/and we will supply egg templates you can print or trace from your screen.
