OsteoStrong Carlsbad is proud to present a new collaboration with the incredible team at Resté Sound Healing based here in North Coastal County. Resté is comprised of a married couple team of certified expert sound healer & professional vocalist, Celeste Barbier with her spouse and practicing Holistic Health Practitioner & Reiki Master, René Cosby.
WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?
Celeste creates cosmic & transcendent sounds using her extraordinary array of healing sound instruments, most of which use specific & scientifically based frequencies proven to reduce stress, pain, & increase overall wellness. These instruments include chakra tuned crystal singing bowls tuned to 432 Hz, Solfeggio frequencies in the form of chimes & bowls, Piezoelectric Crystal Singing Pyramid, gongs, chimes, monochord, rainsticks, Tibetan instruments and more. One of the most unique things about the sound meditations facilitated by Celeste is the use of what she calls "Celestial Toning" where she sings & harmonizes using her powerfully dynamic voice. She was trained as an opera singer, and uses her wide range of low frequency contralto tones to her higher mezzo soprano for an angelic & transcendent journey deep into your subconscious mind where healing can flow. Celeste will be assisted by René to create a unique and beautiful sound bath meditation for you to relax & enjoy creating a transcendent experience through the use of all these sounds in harmony. This is NOT a concert or musical performance.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
The full event is a two hour session which consists of a pre-sound bath cleansing welcome with the burning of Meso-American Copal, cedar or Palo Santo (instead of burning sage) followed by a brief introductory welcome, setting of the intention for healing, breathing & relaxation, guided meditation and a one hour sound bath to follow. During the sound bath, René will be observing to see if anyone is in need of Reiki healing & balancing assistance to move energy blockages. You will not be physically touched.
WHAT TO BRING:
Participants are asked to bring yoga mats, cushions, folding mats, blankets, pillows or anything they need for proper support and warmth to lay on the floor. Limited chairs will be made available if you are unable to lay down comfortably. Please dress comfortably in light warm cozy clothing. The room will be low light, but you may want to bring eye masks.
DISCLAIMER - IMPORTANT: This is recommended for anyone age 16-106, however if you have a pacemaker, or Epilepsy you should NOT for any reason do a sound bath as this could be extremely dangerous & detrimental to your health with extremely hazardous consequences. We also urge you not to attend if you are extremely sensitive to sound or have metal screws and instruments in your body as it could cause these to loosen due to the vibrations created. Your safety & overall physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing is of paramount importance to us.
