RUBIBI (BROOME)

Welcome to OUR BUSINESS, where we bring together art centre artists, staff and board for this specially designed forum.

This year, we are opening up our three days of practical training, shared learning, face to face networking plus full-day symposium to other arts professionals, including arts and cultural organisations and independent arts professionals who engage with Aboriginal artists and arts centres.

Lock it in your diaries and start planning your flight and/or road trip. We can’t wait to see you and to dedicate a few days together to shape our future with OUR BUSINESS.

~ Address professional development needs of WA Aboriginal art centres including copyright & licensing, Indigenous Art Code, Arts Law, SAM training, health and safety workshop, grant writing support and arts funding.

Governance training for effective business management

~ Strengthen regional partnerships

~ Accessing market opportunities

Networking opportunities between arts centres and local/regional business

Presentations from art centres - Nagula Jarndu Designs and Artists Away From Home program, plus a cultural tour on Yawuru Country.

Symposium including a series of panel discussions within the theme of 'CREATE, SHARE, INSPIRE' which aim to celebrate artist’s work, share information, and inspire the audience. Musical performance by David Pigram and dance performance by Burrb Wanggarraju Nurlu Dancers.
