Event description
The story of York born Hollywood actress Enid Bennett.
Born in 1893 in York Western Australia, Enid became one of Hollywood's premier stars of silent film. Her long and ditinguished carreer continued through the talkies in starring roles and as well as supporting roles.
The show features jazz music of the period, interspersed with dialogue and painting live on stage.
Annie Q. Medley has crafted the story of Enid and will also be painting live on stage as the band plays jazz standards relevent to the time line of various events in Enid's life.
The 4 piece ensemble is lead by Guitarist/vocalist Kim Anning with Joyce Mathers singing and narrating the story,
Woodwind maestro Phil Hatton on sax and clarinet with Matthew Bateman Graham on double bass.
