Event description

The story of York born Hollywood actress Enid Bennett.

Born in 1893 in York Western Australia, Enid became one of Hollywood's premier stars of silent film. From 1918 to 1921, she starred in 23 films and her distinguished carreer continued through to the talkies in supporting roles until 1941.

The show features jazz music of the period, interspersed with dialogue and painting live on stage.

Annie Q. Medley has crafted the story of Enid and will also be painting live on stage as the band plays jazz standards relevent to the time line of various events in Enid's life.

The 4 piece ensemble is lead by Guitarist/vocalist Kim Anning with Joyce Mathers singing and narrating the story,

Woodwind maestro Phil Hatton on sax and clarinet with Matthew Bateman Graham on double bass.

Join us for a celebration of Enid's life and career.

Feel free to dress up: Roaring Twenties, Vintage, Old stuff!

The best Enid look alike will win the fabulous prize of being allowed to do the Charleston on stage!
