Join us for Our Food Stories: Digital Storytelling Workshop

The City of Whittlesea Council is excited to partner with Digital Storytellers to offer a no-cost, in-person workshop that will take you from story idea to a finished project.  Not "tech savvy?" No fears because the team at Digital Storytellers make it so easy! If you use a smart phone regularly, you can create a video with their process.

This workshop is primarily for Whittlesea community and school gardeners but also open to others who are interested in documenting food stories and cultural practices.

The workshop will entail using your smartphone to create a short video. In the workshop you will learn how to:

• plan your story
• best film and gather sound
• edit the film and share it
  

The workshop will be capped at the first 20 people who register. A short list will be created for future workshops. Register soon as this is sure to book up fast. Registration deadline is 31 January.

Requirements before the workshop:

• Please download the free app Kinemaster on your phone which you will use to edit the videos on your phone 
• Bring your smartphone charged for filming and earbuds which have a microphone
• Think about a story you would like to share-- maybe something that will recruit new members to your garden or wow a funder

Please note:

• Lunch will be provided, so please note any dietary preferences when you register
• Our covid-cancellation plans will be to reschedule or move the event online
