Event description

Join YWCA Canberra for the Our Lives: Women in the ACT Panel, held as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

This event marks the launch of the 2025 Our Lives: Women in the ACT Report, based on findings of our biennial Our Lives Survey, which captures the lived experiences of women and non-binary people in Canberra and surrounding regions. Now in its fourth iteration, the survey received almost 2,800 responses, marking the largest sample since the initiative began in 2019.

Our panellists

Robyn Martin, CEO of Beryl Women Inc.

Nina Davis, Senior Consultant at Sustineo

Lucy Gramenz, Active Member of Greater Canberra

Amy Kilpatrick, CEO of CARE Financial

They will be exploring this year's report that reveals the rising cost of living and its disproportionate impact on specific demographics, including young people, single parents, and income support recipients. The panel will be facilitated by YWCA Canberra’s Director of Policy and Advocacy, Leah Dwyer, and feature insights from leaders across the community sector.

The event will begin with arrivals and registration from 11:30am. The panel will start promptly at 12:00pm, followed by a light lunch at 1:00pm.

Registration is mandatory and there is limited seating. Please don't book a ticket and be a no-show.

Please note that filming and photography will take place at YWCA Canberra's Our Lives Panel 2025 event at The Street Theatre for promotional, archival, and social media purposes. Photographs and recordings captured may appear on our website and social media channels. Please let us know if you don't want to be photographed.
