Our Mountain

Spend time on the mountain, hearing and sharing stories. This (free but ticketed) forum is part of the 2024 kunanyi Mountain Run. The line-up includes:

• Welcome & performance from palawa musician Dewayne Kuwara Everettsmith
• Yarn with horticulturalist Kris Shaffer about her life growing up on the mountain
• Alternative photographer Peter Maarseveen shares his photographic exploration of the remains of a 1900s huts on kunanyi/Mount Wellington
• Author/historian Maria Grist shares stories about the mountain's artistically-crafted huts
• Hear about the first competitive trail run on the mountain from author Bernard Lloyd
• Enjoy seasonally, locally-sourced bush foods
• Hosted by Dr Anne Hardy, Chair of Destination Southern Tasmania
