Our Ocean - Ideas Sharing Workshop for Blinking Billy Point Mural
Event description
Our Ocean - An ideas sharing workshop
Join us for a youth-led workshop to help shape the Blinking Billy Point Mural!
The TasWater building in Sandy Bay, over looking the Derwent River, is needing a fresh look, so we are painting an ocean themed mural, and you could help come up with the ideas behind it.
This interactive session is all about listening, learning, and sharing ideas that matter to young people about our ocean. We’ll explore connections with the ocean, how it’s changing, and what a better future could look like.
What to expect:
Welcome and creative check-in
Get settled and reflect on how the ocean makes you feel.
Meet the artists and hear the story behind the mural
Learn about the TasWater Mural, the artists who will paint the mural and the Art for the Sea project.
Group discussion and idea-sharing
Each table will explore important questions about ocean connection, climate change, and the future.
A space to listen and be heard
Whether you're passionate about the ocean or just beginning to explore these issues, your voice matters.
Come contribute your ideas and help create a mural that speaks for young people and the future of our oceans.
