Learn how to build a thriving, diverse garden. Join the Valentine Sustainable Neighbourhood Group for a short garden walking tour and community workshop.

We'll be leading a short walking tour of five gardens in old Valentine, followed by morning tea and a workshop to help you plan your own patch.

We'll show you gardens that demonstrate practical ways to:

Create biodiversity, natural beauty and wildlife in our gardens
Grow vegies and herbs in raised garden beds
Plant a verge garden - a special place to share with our community
Multi-mix vegies, fruit trees and flowering plants
Compost, worm farm and have backyard chooks

Please bring $5 cash to help with the cost of morning tea.

Please note there are public toilet facilities available at Allambee Park, but will not be available for the rest of the tour.

The walking tour is along gentle pathways and road verges. We'll be walking a distance of 1-2km / 20-25 minutes.
